Beyond Words

Beyond Words is funded and supported by the Cultural Education CIF Fund. It is a joint Theatre In Education Project designed to enrich and enhance learning opportunities within the school curriculum.

We offer interactive disability awareness workshops and performances for children and young people of all ages that seek to:

• challenge stereotypes,
• generate awareness,
• promote equality, and
• inspire an interest in a career in the performing arts.

Our team includes actors who themselves have disabilities or autism. We highlight and showcase issues that are pertinent to all our communities, not just disabled people. We involve the audience by making comparisons to their own experiences and by getting children and young people to participate.

If you are interested in us visiting your school, please get in touch. We can work with small groups, classes or, depending on the size, the whole school.
