Leigh Townswomen Guild

Leigh's Townswomen Guild is one of over 700 Townswomen groups across Great Britain.

We are a friendly social group of women, that meet throughout the month to listen to speakers, see demonstrations and enjoy a cup of tea and a good chat with friends. Outings and social gathering also take place, with regular meetings with other Townswomen Guilds in our surround towns.

Last year we raised £2400 for a chosen charity YOUNG CARERS, through different events and social gatherings.
This year, our annual chosen charity is WIGAN AND LEIGH HOSPICE.

Townswomen also get involved in many sports and leisure activities, from line dancing to public speaking, from drama to arts and crafts, from music to sports. Members can also start up new activities.

In addition to the regular meetings, you can become involved in our national events with conferences on a wide range of subjects, art & craft workshops and a variety of sport and leisure activities that are held around the country.

We meet on the first, second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm.
New members are always welcome and encouraged to come along and meet new people.
